Gradients in glass

You could call it ombre, opacity, or gradient — we call it wonderful. To celebrate this subtle shift lets take a look at the way it shows up in our glass jewelry.

The one we’re moving away from: Grey Tint. We might be moving away from our Grey Tint Glass Wearables, but while they were here they served as a soft, gradual option between our Clear and Dark Grey. — While this was a beautiful thing and it’s also part of the reason it’s moved on, we were looking for a bit more contrast.

The ones we calculate: Sculptural, Kinetic, and Hot Pressed designs. Jewelry built to showcase the ways each of our tinted glass colors can vary depending on their thickness or number of layers. The more glass, the denser the color; less glass the lighter the color becomes.

The one that shows the process the best: Blown Glass. While we aim for consistency, one of the lovely results of blown glass’s handmade nature is variety. Because of the way that the colorful glass can lay differently across the clear glass of each blown glass plate, you will sometimes find a shift within the appearance of color on our finished jewelry.
