Caring for your glass wearables
Glass jewelry is durable, scratch resistant, easy to clean and safe for daily wear. However, certain care must be taken while the jewelry is not in use. Here are a few tips that will extend the life of your glass wearables.
-Practice latching chains over a soft surface until you are comfortable putting a piece on and taking a piece off by yourself.
-Be aware that the jewelry is made from glass, dropping or hitting it on hard surfaces may induce breakage.

Store and carry your jewelry in the Custom Foam Lined Box that came with your purchase, and use the elastic bow to keep box securely closed
Guide the tip/ bottom of kinetic bundle into the foam first, guiding the top into the foam next
Apply pressure to the top of the bundle until recessed into the foam, pushing any remaining glass tips into the foam until all pieces are snuggly tucked away
Place chain in the chain resevoir at the top of the box, making sure it can not come loose and sneak between the kinetic glass pieces, as this could result in breakage.
To remove your necklace, remove chain from its resevoir first and tug gently until the necklace comes free from the foam
-When cleaning tarnished chain or findings, we recommend ‘Hagerty Silver Clean” Solution and following the instructions provided on their packaging.

Shipping
-All US orders ship via USPS Priority, arriving 1-3 days after shipping. Broken Plates is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they are in the hands of the USPS.
-We offer International Shipping to Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and India using USPS First-Class Package International Service and will take 7–21 days to arrive once shipped. Any additional customs charges and tax duties are expected to be paid by the receiver.
-Most orders ship within 3-5 business days. A note on holiday orders: As we experience a higher volume of orders during the holiday season our shipping window extends. For 2024: Orders placed after Nov 22nd will ship within 2 weeks of their order date.
-Orders containing pre-orders will ship together once the pre-order is completed. If separate shipping is needed, we recommend placing your pre-orders separately. If you have place your orders together by mistake and need separate shipping, contact us. We will then request coverage for the additional shipping. 2024 Holiday Pre-Orders: must be placed by Nov. 29th at 11:59PM to ensure a holiday delivery. All holiday pre-orders will ship by Dec. 17. Holiday delivery is not guaranteed outside of the U.S.
Exchange Policy
-If your item has been damaged in shipping, please contact us so that we can arrange for its replacement or repair.
-Exchanges are accepted within 15 days of your order and must be shipped in their original, undamaged packaging.
-We ask that for all exchanges that you cover the cost of both the safe return of your original order and the cost of shipping for your new item(s).
-Your replacement wearables will ship out as soon as we have verification that the original purchase has been shipped.
-Flat File jewelry purchases are Final Sale.
Repairs
-We know that things happen, and during the life of your glass wearables, some damage may occur. If your loved jewelry is in need of repair, please contact us so that we can help put your glass wearables back into circulation.
-The cost of a repair depends on the kind of damage incurred by the glass and the number of pieces that may need replacement plus the cost of shipping.
-A repair may take 2-4 weeks to complete after we receive the damaged jewelry.
