Studio moments of stillness

A close-up shot of us washing one of our hand blown Copper Blue glass plates; getting it ready to be fired in the kiln

There are a lot of special things happening in our studio, at any given time, but sometimes it’s the little moments we enjoy most. And since we love sharing our process and story, it only seems right that we allow you this glimpse into the everyday life in our studio.

A fiery glimpse of what it looks like when we are torching a glass plate in the glass blowing studio, or Hot Shop

Every step leading up to the completion of a Broken Plates glass wearable provides an opportunity for a moment of stillness. Water skipping across a plate or soap bubble patterns that arise while we are cleaning the hand blown glass plates are some of our favorites. Sometimes it’s just the way that the light might be hitting our glass at a certain time of day. Appreciating these moments is our version of “stopping to smell the roses”.

You, too, can have your very own piece of Broken Plates glass jewelry and appreciate the magic in our finished work whenever you want! We offer a variety of styles and colors for every budget and occasion.
