Pairing our Teardrop Studs according to shape and color
The waterjet process that we use to make our Broken Plates jewelry allows us to precisely reproduce all of our shapes. But even when using one of the most precise methods to cut our jewelry, there are still very subtle differences in each piece.
These differences are due to the the handmade processes that come after we cut out the shapes. We sand every edge, curve, and corner by hand. And our hand blown glass plates sometimes have different densities of color in them, giving an ombré effect in some of our blown glass jewelry.
This means that we always have a bit of sorting and pairing to due with our earrings to ensure we are producing two matching earrings in a pair. Below you will find some stunning results of our meticulous but highly rewarding process!
