A beautiful mess

What our Green Tea Tint glass jewelry looks like after a trip to the waterjet; covered in grit and mounting tape

Before we create our show stopping glass wearables, the glass has to get a little dirty first. After we get back from the waterjet, we arrive at our studio with a cushioned box full of all the pieces we need for the projects we are working on. The glass is typically covered in grit from the waterjet and mounting tape. (See previous post for more details on this process)

At this stage of the process, we submerge all of the glass in a tub of water which rinses off the grit and makes the tape easier to peel off.

We then sand the edges of the glass jewelry and send them through our kiln to return the edges to their glassy shine. The result is our line of bespoke statement jewelry available in a variety of sophisticated neutrals and vibrant hues!
