Our name, Broken Plates Jewelry, comes from the process we use of cutting hand blown glass plates into contemporary, art deco inspired jewelry. Sometimes, there is a natural gradation that happens when making our hand blown glass plates which allows us to get these really nice ombré effects in our glass jewelry. And when we cut earrings out, we need to make sure that both earrings in a pair are oriented the same way so that they get the same ombré effect.
