Smooth around the edges

Using the diamond belt sander to smooth the edges of our waterjet cut glass

There are a few not-so-glamorous steps in the process of creating our contemporary glass jewelry. One of those is our cold-working process that involves using abrasives and water to grind the rough edges left from the waterjet cutting process.

While the distance between our fingers and the belt sander looks dangerous, it is actually much safer than it looks. Once we are done sanding the edges, we slightly melt the glass in our kiln overnight to turn the matte finish into a glossy shine.

The result is our stunning collection of art deco inspired wearables that are perfect for you next summer outfit!
