Our Jade art sheet glass being cut at the CNC waterjet

We use blown glass to create our richer jewel tones found in our Simple Silhouette line. Our Kinetic and Sculptural jewelry is made using sheets of Bullseye glass that get cut at the waterjet to perfectly reproduce our wearables. We use this art sheet glass due to its consistent thickness, resulting in a satisfying repetition of shape and form. With the blown glass, we are hand blowing them ourselves and due to that handed aspect of the process, the thickness is not uniform. We then have to thin them out to a wearable thickness by hand and that’s just an impractical way to get more sculptural. That’s why you’ll only see the earrings and some necklaces made out of the blown glass.

But they do mix well! We worked really hard to create a color story that was consistent throughout all of the different methods of making the glass jewelry. So regardless of what line you’re purchasing from, you’re going to find that they all speak to each other really well. Which art deco-inspired piece of Broken Plates statement jewelry speaks to YOU?
